This Garlic and Herb Dip is perfect for dunking wedges and even better for drizzling over pizza! If you’re looking for a Domino’s style Garlic and Herb dip, look no further.
Garlic and Herb Dip
The amount of garlic and herb dips from Domino’s that I’ve thrown down my neck over the years is quite frankly concerning. So, naturally I thought it was time to curate my own version.
Just a note, garlic and herb dips tend to differ around the world, so this one is based on the UK version. Here’s what you’ll need:
Garlic and Herb Dip Ingredients
- Mayo & Sour Cream – Full Fat, of course.
- Garlic – Fresh and minced/finely grated.
- Oregano & Parsley – Dried works great!
- Vinegar – White Wine Vinegar works best, subs in the recipe card.
I also season the dip with a pinch of sugar and salt, both to taste.
Making Garlic and Herb Dip
My number one tip for making this dip is to lest it rest in the fridge before serving.
By resting in the fridge you allow the flavours to develop. I recommend at least an hour, but overnight is best.
How much garlic to use?
1 medium clove of garlic goes a LONG way in this dip, so I don’t recommend using any more. If after letting it rest you want it more garlicky you can then add another 1/2 clove, but like I said, 1 should be plenty.
What to serve Garlic and Herb Dip with?
- Pepperoni Pizza Parcels
- BBQ Chicken Pizza
- Baked Potato Wedges
- Popcorn Chicken
- Baked Chicken Tenders (or Fried Chicken Tenders)
And there we have it! The perfect homemade garlic and herb dip is ready for the taking. If you’re looking for similar dips before we tuck into the full recipe then check these out:

How long is it good for?
It should be good tightly covered in the fridge for at least 3 days and just use your best judgement past that. C.
Made this and I kid you not you’d struggle to tell the difference between it and the domino dip, which was what I was trying to replicate
Ah that’s like music to my ears thank you! 🙂
Do you think this is freezable?! So delicious, I’m really chuffed with it but there’s so much left
So glad it went down well! I can’t imagine this would freeze particularly well unfortunately. I’d store it in the fridge for and next time just use the servings scale in the recipe card to reduce the portions if you need to 🙂
Gorgeous!
Tastaes a bitt wooden until you add sugar, a bit at a time. Then it just comes alive.
Thanks so much for the review, Neil! Glad it went down well 🙂
Love this recipe! If I made a batch of this and kept it in a sealed jar, how long do you think it would keep for in the fridge? 🙂
That’s great to hear! I imagine it’ll last around 3-5days 🙂
I am a fan when it comes to what I call Shower food. (Baby shower, wedding shower)
This is a great addition to my list of things to take!
Awesome! 🙂
Super good recipe! Now my family wants me to have this one hand for dipping all the things in.
It’s a total winner!
I am always looking for tasty dip recipes to try for my veggies. This recipe looks fantastic. I might even try it on my pizza! Thanks for sharing!
You’re so welcome! 🙂
I’m all about comfort food! I can see dipping lots of things in this dip (plus pouring over salad, baked potato, and more …) Adding it to my arsenal of favorites – thanks!
Ooooo, will have to try it on a baked potato now!
That mix of sour cream and mayo sound just PERFECT! And with those fresh herbs, I am pretty sure it would disappear within no time! I bet leftovers make a great addition to a creamy salad dressing!
They sure do!!
