Chris Collins holding stack of Comfy cookbook in kitchen

Where can I order the book in the UK?

Alongside Amazon, you can order from Waterstones, Blackwell’s and WHSmith.

Is Comfy available outside of the UK?

YES! If you are in the US please keep in mind the book is written in Metric and will contain some UK phrases/words you might not be used to (minced beef instead of ground beef, coriander instead of cilantro etc). However, the measurements will easily be converted if you have scales and measuring cups with ml. Having said that I have created a free conversion table with all the conversions and US ingredients that you can print/download if you’d like! If you’re on mobile just click the share/save button then ‘Save To Files’ (here is a black and white version if you’d prefer to not print colour).

Make your comfort food dreams come true with ‘Comfy’

I’ve poured everything I’ve got into this book and I’m genuinely SO excited to share it with you! It’s built on the back of years of blogging, recipe developing & home cooking and I can safely say it’s my best work to date!!

Comfy is packed with feel-good flavour-loaded dinners that you’ll want to make over and over again. It’s full of the comfiest, most delicious dinners I’ve ever created. Think the ultimate Fish & Chips, Creamy Peppercorn Steak Pasta and Loaded Baked Potato Soup!

This is my ‘Rich & Tender Pork Ragu’ from the ‘Low, Slow & Saucy’ chapter. It’s one of my favourite shots from the book!

Let me answer some questions!

I’ll try and preempt some questions, but if you have any more let me know in the comments below!

How many of the recipes are new?

The majority are completely brand new and written for the cookbook! In fact around 80% of them are completely new, with some of my most popular blog recipes that I had to include.

What kind of recipes are in the book?

Dinners!! All approachable, super-delicious, fail-proof, comfy and full of flavour.

Here’s a few sneak peek recipes:

  • Burrata Caprese Pasta
  • Cottage Pie Baked Potatoes
  • Easy Bloomer Bread Pizza
  • Brown Butter Gnocchi with Sage and Butternut Squash
  • Soul Soothing Chicken Orzo Soup
  • Roasted Sweet Potato Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing
  • Harissa Halloumi Skewers
  • Katsu Curry

This is my ‘Broccoli & Cauliflower Cheese Soup’ from the ‘Dinner-worthy Soups & Salads’ chapter. And yes, naturally I’ve served it in a loaf of bread!

Are these year-round recipes or just for ‘comfy’ season?

These are 100% recipes you can make all year-round. There’s of course lots of recipes that are perfect to tuck into on a cold Winter’s evening (soups, pies, hearty pastas and warming casseroles). But there’s heaps of Spring/Summery recipes too (think burgers, mega salads, tacos, quick dinners, minimal prep dinners, slow-cooker/no-oven dinners).

Are the recipes easy to make?

The skill level is no different for the recipes I post on here and across social media. As with my blog, I made sure that every single recipe (bar 1 or 2) has a notes section and every recipe is as detailed as possible. My publishers were pulling their hair out squeezing in each recipe, but you know how thorough I like to be . Even the bigger recipes are placed across a double page to ensure there’s no missing crucial info. So, in short, I’ve made the recipes as fail-proof as possible!

Do let me know if you have any other questions in the comments!

Also, if you missed any announcements I made across social media I’ll pop the videos below.

As I said, if you’ve got any more questions please do let me know in the comments. But for now, I just want to say the biggest thank you. For the comments, the reviews, the likes – everything. I’m so confident that you’ll love this book and I seriously can’t wait for it to make its way to your kitchen. I know it’ll bring you as much joy as it continues to bring me.

  1. Cheree says:

I’d there any reason why Americans couldn’t preorder? Are the measurements different or something?

    1. Chris Collins says:

Hi Cheree! It’s just available on Amazon UK at the moment and it is in metric measurements. It will be on Amazon US at a later date and I’m hoping to get it all converted for then too ๐Ÿ™‚ C.

  2. Pat says:

Congratulations!! How does one get an autographed copy?

    1. Chris Collins says:

Thanks Pat! I’m not sure if any will be signed but will let you know if they are ๐Ÿ™‚ C.

  3. Nancy Quinn says:

My 17 yr old daughter has taken an interest in cooking because of your recipes. We’re in the lovely state of Washington, sadly a little too close to the insanity of “Seattle”, but I grew up in Henley on Thames… my recollection of food from my childhood has me skeptical of English recipes online, but yours are FANTASTIC! We’re having the Harrisa Pasta this week. Although we have several fav’s, I think the top one is Honey Butter Chicken. I’m going next to look on Amazon to pre-order your cookbook, hoping it’s here in time for Christmas. It’s going to make a fabulous surprise! Thanks for all the hard work!!!

    1. Chris Collins says:

Thank you so much for the kind words, Nancy! So happy to hear the recipes are going down well! I’ve got my fingers crossed for a US version so hopefully will be on the US Amazon soon ๐Ÿ™‚ C.

    2. Jacquelin White says:

I live above 45 miles south of Seattle! I also am looking forward to the cookbook as well!

  4. Tess Shouse says:

Chris, I have made several of your recipes and love, love, love, them all. I have learned so much from you about why you do certain tings and my husband loves everything I have cooked from your recipes. I have my favorites like the butter honey pork loin, but so far I have not found anything I don’t like. Thank you so much for your willingness to share and make me a better cook.

    1. Chris Collins says:

Tess, this is such a lovely comment, thank you! I’m so happy to hear the recipes are going down well ๐Ÿ™‚ C.

    1. Chris Collins says:

Hi Carolyn! I haven’t made any specific gluten-free, but I’m sure there will be many that can be adapted ๐Ÿ™‚ C.

Can’t wait. Follow so many if your recipes and never disappointed. In fact, I still use your method for cooking steaks and the blue cheese sauce, always a winner.
Can’t wait Chris, keep up the great work.

    1. Chris Collins says:

Cheers Rob! I posted that recipe a little while ago, so that’s awesome you’re still following along. I hope you love the book ๐Ÿ™‚ C.

  8. Bea Holland says:

Wow, congratulations. It’s something I have been hoping for for months now, already pre-ordered on Amazon. I love to “prop-up” a cook book whilst cooking. (I’m old enough to remember when that was the only option!) Hope it’s a best seller and the first of many for you, “but don’t stop the blog.”
    Best wishes
    Bea, Suffolk UK.

    1. Chris Collins says:

Thanks so much, Bea! I’m confident you’ll love the book ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ll never stop the blog – it’s with me for good now!! C.
