Well, we made it through another year folks! I really loved doing last year’s top recipes so I thought I’d return with a 2024 edition.
It’s been another awesome year here at the Don’t Go Bacon My Heart HQ. I’ve somehow ended up having hundreds of thousands more people follow along across social media and millions of people continue to come over to the blog to check out the recipes I’ve uploaded. Figures like that still blow my mind, but I’ll continue to pretend it’s all completely normal!
As I look into the new year, I’m excited to continue dreaming up new recipes. I’m also getting a new site makeover in the next week or so, which I’m VERY excited for you to see. But more on that soon…

Top 5 Blog Recipes of 2024
These are based on the total number of page visits from 1st Jan – 31st December.
5. Garlic Butter Chicken
I uploaded this recipe in 2020 and it has been in the top 5 ever since. Last year it was the number 4 spot and this year it’s holding strong at number 5. Will it be able to cling on another year?!
4. Creamy Prawn Linguine
I uploaded this recipe right at the end of 2022, so it appears it used 2023 as a ‘warm up’ year, then shot straight to this year’s number 4 most visited recipe!
3. Cowboy Butter
Another new entry is the liquid gold that is cowboy butter! This is the only recipe I uploaded this year to crack the top 5, which is very impressive. And very well deserved too!
2. Moussaka
Last year this ranked at number 2 and here we are again! I’m always so pleased to see this recipe fly high. It took me so long to test and film, so it’s amazing to see the hard work paying off.
1. Chilli Con Carne
This was one of the first recipes I ever uploaded to my Instagram way back in 2016. I then refined it and uploaded it to the blog in 2019. It then made the cut in my cookbook in 2023 and now it is my number 1 recipe of 2024. What a journey and I am SO pleased to see this OG recipe taking the reins and winning the top spot.

When a video takes off across the internet it’s tricky to keep track of views on different platforms. As such, these figures are based on the collective views from just me posting the video on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
5. Crispy Hot Honey Feta Chicken
17.74 million views
This was one of those ‘I really hope everyone loves this recipe as much as I do’ kind of recipes. Thankfully it went down an absolute storm and ended up in my top 5 most popular videos of 2024. Winner!!
4. Cranberry Pecan Cheese Log
21.3 million views
This is very impressive given I uploaded this video 2 weeks ago AND it was reposted from the year before. It seems 2024 was the year of the cheese log!
3. Caramelised Onion Pasta
22 million views
This one really caught me off guard. I wasn’t expecting it to do so well as it’s a little off the beaten track for my regular style. But it turns out that taking risks pays off sometimes!
2. Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers
22.65 million views
This was one of the first dedicated air fryer recipes I uploaded and it just confirms how big the world of air frying has gotten.
1. Upsidedown Puff Pastry Tacos
31.9 million views
Well, an upsidedown taco made of puff pastry claiming my most viewed video of 2024 wasn’t on my bingo cards, but here we are. This is an awesome recipe and I’m chuffed to see people saw the vision – albeit a little crazy!
