Notes

a) Vinegar - White wine vinegar is best here, so I don't recommend subbing brown/malt vinegar. You could sub either white rice vinegar (slightly sweeter) or just regular white vinegar. If you don't have any then sub lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, both of which will just add a very faint fruity taste. Nothing too noticeable though.
b) Herbs - I don't recommend subbing any other herbs, only the combo or parsley and oregano really work in this dip. Dried work great, just important to rest the dip so they have time to infuse.
c) Garlic - 1 clove makes this dip 'garlicky' enough, especially because it's grated/minced. Again, important to let the dip rest so the garlic can infuse.
d) Preference - If after the dip has rested you want it a little more tangy just add a dash more vinegar. If you find it already quite tangy (either from the vinegar or garlic) add a pinch more sugar. If you're garlic crazy and want more garlic flavour then consider adding another half clove. I don't recommend any more though, I promise 1 clove goes a long way in this dip!
e) Calories - based on adding 1/4 tsp sugar and salt and shared between 6.
