Leftover Bolognese Sliders

Leftover Bolognese Sliders are the perfect way to jazz up your bolognese the day after. Forget bolognese hash or bolognese chili, these sliders are the only way you'll ever want to use up leftovers!!

Equipment

  • Frying Pan + Spoon
  • Teaspoon
  • Grater

Ingredients

  • 8 heaped tbsp Leftover Bolognese
  • 1 loaf of Garlic Bread (8 pieces)
  • 1/4 cup / 60ml Sour Cream (or 8 tsp worth)
  • 1/2 cup / 40g Parmesan, or to preference
  • 8 Small Basil Leaves

Instructions

  • Pop your Garlic Bread in the oven and cook accordingly.
  • Reheat your Bolognese in a suitably sized pan over low-medium heat until piping hot throughout.
  • Top your Garlic Bread with a heaped tbsp of Bolognese, topped with a pinch of Parmesan, topped with a tsp of Sour Cream and finished with a Basil Leaf.

Notes

b) Reheating - I find the best way to reheat bolognese is in the frying pan as it cooks more evenly than in the microwave. If you're bolognese has been in the fridge then just pop it straight in the pan. If it's been in the freezer then let it come to room temp first, then pop in the pan. In all cases if the bolognese looks visibly dried out consider adding a splash of water or beef stock to thin it out again.
c) Cheese - If you're a family who likes cheddar with their bolognese then feel free to sub that!
