Course: Appetizer, Dip
Cuisine: Original
Servings: 8
Cost: 50p / 50c
- 1 cup / 230g Full Fat Mayo
- 2 tbsp Sriracha (or to preference)
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Lime (or more to preference)
- Salt, to taste
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, taste testing to preference. Cover and store in the fridge until needed.
To serve in the skin of the lime, simply take a horizontal slice off, cut around the flesh with a knife and gut out with a spoon.
a) Sriracha - I recommend buying Flying Goose. Don't sub for 'chilli sauce', 'hot sauce' or a cheaper brand of sriracha, it won't taste the same!
b) Spicy - Everyone's spice thresholds are different, but I think 2 tbsp sriracha makes a creamy dip without being too overpowering. However, do adjust accordingly. If you're not too good with spice start off with 1 tbsp.
c) Mayo - I recommend full fat mayo for this recipe. Go on, treat yourself.
d) Lime Juice - Always fresh! Bottled lime juice will alter the flavour considerably!
